All four met up in Cairo, and decided to go to Alamein as the Visas were not forthcoming.  They then reurned to Cairo and waited for the Visas.  Eventually they decided to apply for a tourist Visa rather than wait for the transit Visa, which has not appeared. 

They plan to leave Cairo on 23 April and travel to the Libyan border where they will collect the visas.
