Into Sudan
Simon Hannah and Betty are now in Sudan with Tom and Ellen. They have been into Khartoum and discusssed the boat ferry from Wadi Halfa to get them into Egypt, and are now visiting some of the ancient artefacts in Northern Sudan. There are more pyramids in Northern Sudan than there are in Egypt.
They plan to visit the Temples at Naqa and then go on to Jebel Barkal.
The temples at Naqa are described as Meroitic and may be from 1st Century AD. Jebel Barkal appears to be much older 11-15th Century BC. (According to guide book) It will be interesting to see what information the travellers glean for us.
